A single Node.js and MongoDB platform became the source of truth for menu, location, promotion and loyalty data — consumed identically by web, iOS and Android.
Native where it matters
Swift and Kotlin were used for the mobile apps specifically so location services, notifications and everyday interactions feel native on each platform.

Engineering Challenges & How We Solved Them
A menu update or new combo promotion needed to appear identically on web, iOS and Android at the same time, without one platform lagging behind.
A single Node.js backend became the only source of truth — every client reads from the same API, so there's no per-platform content drift.
Building fully native iOS and Android apps means writing platform-specific code twice, which risks the two apps drifting apart in behavior over time.
Core flows — locator, ordering, loyalty — were kept to the same information architecture on both platforms, even though the underlying Swift and Kotlin code is written independently for each.
The UAE and Qatar needed to be served from the same platform without treating either market as an afterthought.
Restaurant, menu and promotion data were modeled in MongoDB so each market's content is managed independently while running on shared infrastructure.
