Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 17, 2026
1. Who We Are
Apptechies ("Apptechies," "we," "us," or "our") is a software design and development company with offices across the United States, United Kingdom, India, the UAE, and Australia. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information when you visit apptechies.com (the "Site"), submit an inquiry through one of our contact forms, or engage us for a project.
This policy applies to visitors of our Site and to prospective clients who share information with us during a sales or hiring conversation. It does not govern data our engineers may process on behalf of a client while delivering a project. That is addressed separately in the Data Processing Agreement (DPA) signed for that engagement, nor does it cover the internal HR data of our own employees, which is handled under our internal HR policies.
2. Information We Collect
We collect information in three ways:
- Information you give us directly: your name, email address, phone number, company name, project details, and budget range when you submit a contact form, request a consultation, or apply for a role through our careers page.
- Information collected automatically: IP address, browser type, device information, pages visited, referring URL, and approximate location, collected through standard web server logs and privacy-respecting analytics when you browse the Site.
- Information from cookies and similar technologies: see our Cookie Policy for the full list of cookies we use and how to control them.
We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal information (such as health, financial account, or government ID data) through this Site. If a project requires us to process that category of data on a client's behalf, it is handled under a separate, signed DPA with the safeguards appropriate to that data.
3. What We Do Not Collect or Store
To be direct about the limits of what this Site touches:
- We do not process payments on this Site, so we never collect or store credit card, debit card, or other payment card details here. Where a signed engagement involves invoicing, payment is handled through a separate, PCI-compliant payment processor, not stored on Apptechies servers.
- We do not collect government ID numbers, biometric data, or precise geolocation through this Site.
- We do not use the information described in this policy to build advertising profiles of you for sale to third parties.
4. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Respond to your inquiry and follow up on a project or hiring conversation.
- Prepare proposals, estimates, and contracts for prospective engagements.
- Send you information you have asked for, such as a case study or a reply to a support question.
- Understand how visitors use the Site so we can improve its content and performance.
- Detect and prevent spam, abuse, and security incidents affecting our forms and systems.
- Meet legal, accounting, and regulatory obligations.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it to make automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects about you.
6. Data Retention
We retain contact-form and lead information for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to your inquiry and, where a business relationship develops, for the duration of that relationship plus the period required by applicable tax, accounting, or contractual record-keeping obligations. You can ask us to delete information that is no longer needed at any time. See Section 8 below.
7. Data Security
We apply encryption in transit and at rest, role-based access controls, and least-privilege defaults to the systems that store the information described in this policy, consistent with the ISO 27001-certified practices described on our Compliance page. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we treat protecting your information as a standing engineering obligation, not a one-time checklist.
8. Your Rights
Depending on where you are located, you may have rights under laws such as the GDPR (EU/UK) or the CCPA (California) to:
- Request access to the personal information we hold about you.
- Request correction of inaccurate information.
- Request deletion of your information, subject to legal or contractual retention requirements.
- Object to or restrict certain processing.
- Request a portable copy of the information you provided to us.
- Opt out of any marketing tagging described in our Cookie Policy at any time.
To exercise any of these rights, email [email protected] with your request. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law, generally within 30 days.
9. International Data Transfers
Apptechies operates across the United States, United Kingdom, India, the UAE, and Australia, so information you share with us may be accessed by team members or processed on servers in a country other than your own. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses, for transfers out of the EU and UK.
10. Third-Party Links, Logos & Trademarks
Our portfolio pages and case studies reference real client names, product names, and logos shown with permission to describe work we have delivered; those names and marks remain the property of their respective owners and their appearance here is not an endorsement of Apptechies by that company beyond the specific project described. The Site may also link out to a client's live product or to our own social profiles. We do not control and are not responsible for the privacy practices of any site we link to. This policy only covers apptechies.com.
11. Children's Privacy
This Site is directed at businesses and professionals evaluating a software development partner. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal reasons. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised. Material changes will be reflected here before they take effect.
13. Contact Us
